The Role We're looking for a hands-on generalist to scale and maintain our HPC infrastructure, automate research workflows, and help deploy trading strategies. You'll work closely with the founder and own infra projects end-to-end. You'll work directly with the founder, Mayank Kumar — AIR 172, IIT Kanpur (CSE), with 10+ years of experience across data systems, low-latency infra, and quantitative finance. His journey spans data engineering at LinkedIn, SoC systems at Qualcomm, low-latency market access at Graviton, and 5+ years of alpha generation through proprietary trading strategies. He now leads YMS with a sharp focus on building next-gen execution infrastructure and research tooling — powering both in-house Responsibilities Manage and scale Linux-based HPC cluster (Slurm, GlusterFS). Automate daily alpha/data pipelines with Python, Bash, cron. Monitor system health, uptime, and research queue behavior. Support backtesting tools and production deployments. Own design and execution of infra projects independently. Qualifications You're strong in Linux + scripting (Python/Bash). You've built infra tools, ETL jobs, or pipelines from scratch. You learn fast and debug independently. You value clear, proactive communication and take ownership of outcomes Open Source Contributions / Competitive Programming Accolades are a plus.
