Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust FHIR REST APIs (R4), implementing full CRUD operations for all resource types. Ensure compliance with US Core 6.1.0 profiles (Patient, Practitioner, Observation, Condition, etc.) and comprehensive US Core search capabilities. Implement and maintain built-in schema validation using HAPI validators and US Core profiles. Integrate and manage conformance testing, including Inferno Lite validation and results reporting. Develop advanced server enhancements, such as comprehensive audit logging (as FHIR AuditEvents), configurable validation modes (strict/lenient), and performance monitoring. Required Qualifications: 6 to 9 years of professional experience in backend software development, with a significant portion focused on enterprise-level applications. Expertise in Java 17 LTS and Spring Boot framework. Hands-on experience with HAPI FHIR. Demonstrable experience with NoSQL databases, specifically Couchbase (or similar distributed NoSQL databases). Strong proficiency in Docker and containerization best practices. Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and development. Familiarity with healthcare IT standards, particularly FHIR (R4) and US Core. Experience implementing API key authentication and securing applications with HTTPS. Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
