Job Summary : We are seeking fresh graduates to join our hospital billing team as Billing Executives . This role involves handling Inpatient (IP) and Outpatient (OP) billing activities, ensuring accurate and timely billing for patient services. Candidates will work closely with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to process bills, verify insurance details, and manage payment collections. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you're confident in handling hospital billing processes. Key Responsibilities : Generate and process bills for OP (Outpatient) and IP (Inpatient) services. Check and verify doctor consultation charges, lab tests, procedures, and room charges. Coordinate with departments (lab, pharmacy, diagnostics, etc.) for billing inputs. Handle patient admission and discharge billing formalities. Verify insurance coverage and assist with pre-authorizations if needed. Ensure billing accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly. Provide billing explanations and clarify queries to patients or relatives. Maintain and update billing records in the hospital management system (HMS). Assist with daily cash collection reports and reconciliation. Training & Support : Full training will be provided on hospital billing systems, processes, and software. Mentorship and support from senior staff during the onboarding period. Required Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or any related field. Fresh graduates or candidates with 0–1 year of relevant experience are welcome. Basic knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel). Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude. Role Overview: As an In-Patient Department (IPD) Coordinator, you will ensure the smooth functioning and administration of inpatient services within hospital wards. Your role involves coordinating with nursing staff and various departments to facilitate efficient admission, discharge, and daily patient services, allowing medical staff to focus on clinical care. You will work in rotational shifts and adhere to the dress code as per hospital norms. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain a record of patient admissions, discharges, and overnight events. - Update the admission/discharge register and patient census board daily. - Interact with patients to ensure satisfaction with nursing care, housekeeping, maintenance, and food services. - Follow up on patient complaints and escalate unresolved issues to support staff. - Coordinate and track pending investigations and doctor referrals. - Communicate patient transfers to relevant departments and the admission counter. - Report any critical incidents to the ward in-charge promptly. Admission Duties: - Notify housekeeping to prepare rooms for new patients. - Receive new admissions in coordination with nursing staff. - Log patient details in the admission register and update census boards. - Orient patients and families to hospital facilities and ward rules. - Notify duty medical officers and consultants of new admissions. - Liaise with diagnostic and procedural departments for smooth coordination. Discharge Duties: - Inform patients and families about the discharge process and timelines. - Ensure timely preparation, typing, and signing of the discharge summary. - Cross-check returned medications and inform the dietary team. - Follow medico-legal case (MLC) protocols when applicable. - Distribute discharge summary and lab reports and collect acknowledgment. - Arrange transport if needed and secure the room post-discharge. Administrative Responsibilities: - Handle incoming and outgoing calls courteously and professionally. - Cooperate with nurses and support staff to maintain smooth operations. - Attend meetings, training sessions, and development programs. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation and records.
