YARN STORE KEEPER

Inventory Management Maintain accurate records of yarn stock (receipts, issues, balance). Monitor stock levels and initiate orders to avoid shortages or overstocking. Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) method for yarn issuance. 2. Receiving Yarn Inspect incoming yarn deliveries for quality, quantity , and specification . Cross-check delivery challans with purchase orders and goods received notes . Label and store yarn in designated storage areas properly. 3. Yarn Issuance Issue yarn to production departments (weaving/knitting/knitting prep) as per daily requirements. Maintain issue slips and get acknowledgements from departments. 4. Record Keeping Update stock registers , ERP systems, or inventory management software. Maintain bin cards or computerized records for each type of yarn. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports . 5. Storage & Handling Ensure proper storage conditions to protect yarn from moisture, pests, and contamination. Use proper material handling equipment (pallet jacks, trolleys, etc.). Organize yarns by count, lot number, color, or type . 6. Coordination Work closely with the purchase department , production team , and quality control . Report discrepancies or quality issues to relevant departments. 7. Compliance & Safety Follow all company policies , safety guidelines , and auditing requirements . Participate in stock audits and help resolve variances.
