Job Title:SR. MECH ENGINEER - INSTALLATION & COMISSIONING Department: Installation & Commissioning Location: Chakan, Pune, Maharashtra, India Reporting To: Project Manager / Installation Head Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior Installation & Commissioning Mechanical Engineer proficient in installation, assembly, and commissioning of Air pollution control equipment. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning of duct routing, Dust collectors, Bag filters, Cyclones, Venturi scrubbers, Screw conveyors, Support structures, and other industrial equipment. The role requires strong coordination with design, production, and site teams to ensure smooth execution of projects. Installation & Assembly: Supervise and ensure proper Site assembly& installation of mechanical systems such as ducting, Dust Collector, bag filters, scrubbers, ID fans, blowers, and material handling systems. Verify alignment, bolting, welding, and structural stability of installed components. Ensure adherence to layout and engineering drawings during installation. Commissioning & Testing: Execute dry and wet commissioning of installed systems. Ensure leakage testing, flow rate adjustments, and system balancing. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or functional issues during commissioning. Site Supervision & Safety Compliance: Monitor and manage installation teams, contractors, and subcontractors. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, PPE usage, and site regulations. Conduct site inspections to ensure work completion as per design specifications. Coordination & Documentation: Collaborate with design, project, and quality teams for issue resolution. Maintain installation records, reports, and commissioning documentation. Communicate with clients for technical approvals and site queries. Prepare minutes of meetings for site discussions and progress tracking. Site Visits & Client Interaction: Conduct site surveys for pre-installation assessments. Provide technical support to clients during commissioning. Prepare and submit as-built drawings post-installation. Submit daily site reports to customers and the office. Project Planning & Execution: Prepare and schedule installation plans for projects. Execute the project within the approved budget and time frame. Ensure first-time-right execution of tasks. Handover to client with client satisfaction and proper Handover document. Education: Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 5–10 years in installation & commissioning of industrial systems. Technical Skills: Drawing reading capability and ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings. Installation & alignment of duct routing, dust collectors, scrubbers, ID fans, blowers, conveyors, and support structures. Knowledge of fabrication, welding activities, and safety protocols. Ability to troubleshoot and rectify mechanical installation issues. Manpower planning & handling. MS Office & AutoCAD proficiency. Excel & Emailing skills. Experience Required (All of the below mandatory): 5+ years experience in mechanical installation & commissioning. Hands-on expertise in duct routing, dust collectors, scrubbers, screw conveyors, ID fans, and sheet metal structures. Experience in client interactions for commissioning approvals.
