XR Systems Architect

You will be joining Qualcomm's XR Technology Systems team as an engineer, where you will be involved in developing next-generation technologies for Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR) applications. Your responsibilities will include: - Driving technical workstreams across key technology tracks such as perception, rendering, composition, reprojection, split-processing, user input interfaces, camera & display processing. - Collaborating with technology experts to drive strategic direction in cross-functional AR/MR/VR areas. - Translating use-case requirements into implementation specifications and contributing to reference design planning. - Engaging with customers to align with product management on platform requirements. - Conducting system level what-ifs/trade-offs and assisting with competitive analysis. Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with project experience in architecture/micro-architecture. - 1+ years of system engineering or related work experience. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred qualifications include: - Masters and/or PhD degree in relevant fields. - Experience in HW architecture/design with emphasis on the listed areas. - Proven experience in conducting architectural trade-offs, power/performance analysis, and/or SW-HW trade-offs. - Extensive knowledge of graphics pipeline, computer vision pipelines, machine learning methods, and camera pipelines. - Experience with system level modeling (performance and/or power). - Proficiency in C/C++ programming. Educational Requirements: - Required: Bachelors in Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. - Preferred: Masters/Doctorate in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and/or Electrical Engineering.
