We’re seeking a dedicated ServiceNow expert to act as a consultant and code reviewer, focusing exclusively on scripting and integrations. You’ll work remotely on a part-time basis, ensuring our team’s code and integrations meet the highest standards of functionality, maintainability, and best practices. What You’ll Do Script Reviews: Conduct in-depth reviews of all server-side and client-side code (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions). Ensure scripts follow JavaScript/Glide API best practices, are maintainable, and perform efficiently. Integration Audits: Validate and review integrations with third-party systems (REST/SOAP Web Services, Scripted REST APIs, MID Server, LDAP/SAML). Assess error handling, data mapping, transaction integrity, and recovery mechanisms. Feedback & Mentoring: Provide clear, actionable feedback reports on code quality and integration patterns. Share advanced scripting techniques and integration design patterns to upskill the team. What You Bring Experience: 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development with a strong focus on scripting and integrations. Scripting Mastery: Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and the Glide API across both server and client contexts. Integration Expertise: Deep knowledge of REST/SOAP web services, Scripted REST APIs, MID Server setups, and LDAP/SAML configurations. Code Review Excellence: Proven track record of conducting thorough, constructive peer reviews and enforcing coding standards. Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate technical feedback in written reports and virtual review sessions.
