As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, creating, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs to launch cutting-edge, world-class products that meet and exceed customer needs. Collaboration with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams is crucial to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces. You should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Preferred qualifications include 1+ year of experience with Programming Language C and Python, as well as 1 year of experience with USB technologies. Key responsibilities for this role include hands-on experience with USB/TBT3/USB4 and I2C Technologies, Windows device drivers, C Programming, Python, Xhci USB2/3 and USB 4.0 Specifications, Microsoft Connection Manager, embedded device driver development for ARM processors, debugging skills, working across different technologies and teams, analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to read schematics, use test equipment such as JTAG debuggers, logic analyzers, and scope, experience with GIT and P4, excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. As a Software Engineer at Qualcomm, you will be involved in the design and development on Qualcomm multiprocessor mobile computing platforms, working closely with the hardware team in developing low-level device driver software for USB, supporting the team with failure triage, system debug, clear email communication, and customer support, as well as collaborating with internal and external teams to implement and support new features.
