We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Site Engineer to join our team, specializing in site surveys for Solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough on-site assessments to gather all necessary technical, geographical, and logistical data required for the design and execution of solar power plants. This role is crucial in ensuring the feasibility, accuracy, and efficiency of our project planning and execution. Key Responsibilities: On-site Data Collection: Conduct comprehensive site surveys for potential and active solar EPC projects. This includes measuring site dimensions, topography, and identifying existing infrastructure. Technical Assessment: Evaluate site suitability by analyzing factors such as solar irradiance, shade analysis from surrounding objects (buildings, trees, etc.), and potential environmental impacts. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed site survey reports, including technical drawings, photographs, and drone footage (if applicable). Document all critical findings, potential challenges, and recommendations for the design and engineering teams. Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with landowners, clients, and local authorities to gather necessary permissions and information. Act as the primary technical point of contact during the survey phase. Resource & Equipment Management: Operate and maintain surveying equipment such as GPS devices, total stations, and drones. Ensure all tools are calibrated and in good working condition. Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all company safety protocols and local regulations during site visits. Identify and report any potential health and safety hazards. Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering, procurement, and project management teams to provide accurate and timely data that informs project design, cost estimation, and scheduling. Education:Electrical Engineering,Diploma or a related technical field. Experience: 0-2 years of experience in site surveying/technical or a related field, with a preference for experience in the solar or renewable energy sector. Moderate understanding of solar PV system components and design principles is a significant advantage. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. Willingness to travel frequently to project sites, often in remote locations.
