X-Ray Technician/Medical Assistant

You will be responsible for verifying patients" identity and reviewing physicians" orders before beginning x-ray procedures. Using x-ray equipment, you will take radiographic images of patients" bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians" written orders. It will be your duty to explain x-ray procedures to patients, answer their questions, and position them accordingly, which may involve lifting and moving patients with limited mobility. You will also limit patients" exposure to radiation by placing lead shields on patients where needed to ensure their safety. Your role will involve ensuring that the x-rays taken are of sound quality to prevent repeat procedures and working closely with the resident Radiologist to determine if further tests are required. You will be responsible for ensuring that the x-ray equipment is regularly serviced and in good working order. In case of damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment, you will promptly notify the management. Additionally, maintaining an accurate record of completed x-ray procedures will be part of your responsibilities. Qualifications Required: - Relevant certification or degree in Radiologic Technology - Valid license to practice radiography - Strong knowledge of x-ray procedures and equipment - Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and medical staff effectively - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment - Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in recording and performing procedures Please note that ECG / TMT experience will attract a different package.
