X-Ray Technician/Medical Assistant

As a Radiologic Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to verify patients" identity and review physicians" orders before conducting x-ray procedures. You will utilize x-ray equipment to capture radiographic images of patients" bones, tissues, and organs based on written orders from physicians. Your role will also involve explaining x-ray procedures to patients, addressing their queries, and positioning them appropriately, which may involve assisting patients with limited mobility. To maintain patient safety, you will be required to limit their exposure to radiation by utilizing lead shields when necessary. It is essential to ensure that the quality of the x-rays taken is optimal to avoid the need for repeat procedures. Collaboration with the resident Radiologist to assess the need for further tests will be part of your daily tasks. In addition to patient care, you will be responsible for the maintenance of x-ray equipment, ensuring it is regularly serviced and in good working condition. Promptly reporting any damage or malfunction of the equipment to the management is crucial for efficient operations. Keeping an accurate record of completed x-ray procedures is essential for documentation purposes. Any experience with ECG / TMT will be considered advantageous and may lead to a different compensation package.
