Role & responsibilities : Oversee daily bakery operations and ensure smooth functioning of the bakery section. Prepare, bake, and decorate a wide range of bakery items including breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts. Assist in menu planning and contribute innovative bakery ideas as per brand standards. Maintain consistency in product quality, taste, texture, and presentation. Supervise and guide Commis-level bakers and ensure proper workflow allocation. Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (FSSAI compliance). Monitor inventory of baking ingredients, maintain par levels, and coordinate with the store/purchase team for timely replenishment. Handle production planning for regular service, bulk orders, festive menus, and special events. Check and maintain baking tools, equipment, and ovens for cleanliness and efficiency. Minimize wastage, control food cost, and maintain proper portion control. Support the Head Chef/Executive Chef in training, documentation, and recipe standardization. Requirements 3- 6 years of experience in bakery & pastry operations (hotel, caf, bakery, or cloud kitchen). Strong hands-on experience in breads, viennoiseries, pastries, and basic confectionery. Ability to lead a small bakery team independently during shifts. Knowledge of modern bakery trends, techniques, and plating styles. Good organizational skills and the ability to handle high-volume production. Flexibility to work in early shifts, weekends, and festive periods.
