We’ve built breakthrough tech, launched India’s first sunglasses made from chip packets, and proven demand across markets. Now we need a Manufacturing Manager to turn smart machines and good intentions into world-class execution. This role is part operator, part team-builder, part problem-solver. You’ll lead our shop floor, own quality and timelines, and make sure every batch reflects our values – precision, impact, and pride. This is not a clipboard job from a glass office. What We Are Looking For Industry Experience: 3-5 years in plastic manufacturing, with deep knowledge of moulding, extrusion, shift operations, and quality control. You’ve managed people, machines, and materials, and kept them running smoothly. Leadership & Team Management: You’ve led production teams and built a culture of accountability and respect. You know how to motivate, manage shifts, and resolve on-floor challenges calmly. Hands-On & Practical: You’re not afraid to get on the floor, roll up your sleeves, and fix what’s broken. You lead by doing, not just directing. Operational Discipline: You’ve worked in fast-growing setups and know how to maintain quality and consistency under pressure. Digitally Comfortable: Proficient with Excel, email, and basic software. You’re open to using data and systems to run operations smarter. Start-Up Grit: This isn’t a traditional factory role. Location: Full-time, on-site in Pune. Presence is non-negotiable. The X-Factor: You take pride in running a clean, efficient, and human-first shop floor, and you’re here to help build India’s most ethical production line. What You’ll Do Run Daily Operations: Oversee moulding, extrusion, and shift-level production activities. Ensure output, quality, and timelines are met, without compromise. Lead the Team: Manage and mentor a growing workforce, including operators from diverse backgrounds. Set schedules, resolve conflicts, and build a respectful, high-performance culture. Maintain Quality: Implement and monitor QC systems to meet internal and external standards. Track rejections, troubleshoot issues, and maintain clean production records. Scale with Structure: Help us transition from small-batch to scaled production. Build processes that are lean, replicable, and audit-ready. Be Hands-On: Troubleshoot machine issues, inspect products, and support the team physically when needed. You don’t just point—you participate. Ensure Compliance: Uphold safety, hygiene, and environmental standards on the shop floor. Coordinate with external partners when required. Use Tools Smartly: Maintain production reports, use Excel to track output and waste, and communicate clearly via email and internal tools. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with R&D, Impact, and Procurement teams to ensure manufacturing aligns with material development, social goals, and supply timelines. Your Compensation An annual Cost-to-Company (CTC) between INR 8 – 12 lakhs , based on experience and fit. If your primary goal is predictability or perks, this might not be the right role. We’ve built the tech, earned the spotlight, and now we need a Human Relations Associate to help us grow ethically from the inside out. This is a Founder’s Office role. You’ll work directly with our founder and across teams to shape the systems, culture, and care that keep our mission grounded in people, not just performance. This role is part listener, part organiser, part cultural anchor. You’ll support people across backgrounds, from engineers to former waste-pickers, with clarity, care, and structure. This isn’t a desk-bound HR job with cookie-cutter templates and annual retreats. It will be intense and NOT 9-to-5. It’s hands-on, high-trust, and deeply human. What We Are Looking For Experience & People Skills: 1-3 years in HR, people ops, or community-facing roles, preferably in fast-paced or impact-led environments. Experience with marginalised communities is a plus. We don’t care about your degree, we care about your depth. Cultural Fluency: Fluent in English, Marathi, and Hindi. You’ll be the bridge between our lab, operations floor, and Impact Initiative—so empathy across contexts is key. Trust & Structure: Reliable, organized, and discreet. Strengthen People Practices: Contribute to systems that support team wellbeing and accountability, employee check-ins, basic performance tracking, feedback processes, and conflict resolution. Bridge Across Functions: Liaise with our Impact Initiative to align benefits, track social mobility outcomes, and support upskilling and healthcare access for workers moving out of informal labour. Support our Impact Initiative: Assist with scheduling, documentation, and process support for programs run by our non-profit arm, ensuring impact is tracked, measured, and felt. Contribute to Career Planning: Help structure role clarity and basic development pathways, especially for team members new to formal employment, as time and growth allow.
