Wireless Networking (WLAN) Developer

As a Wireless Networking (WLAN) Developer, you will be responsible for working on the software that powers Wi-Fi chipsets. Your expertise in Linux kernel driver development and embedded firmware programming, along with a strong understanding of Wi-Fi standards and protocols, will be crucial for this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and maintain Linux kernel drivers for Wi-Fi chipsets. - Write, debug, and optimize firmware for wireless chipsets (embedded C). - Work on hostapd (Wi-Fi access point) and wpa_supplicant (Wi-Fi client) software stacks. - Port WLAN software to various embedded platforms (ARM, MIPS, Qualcomm, Broadcom, etc.). - Improve Wi-Fi performance parameters such as throughput, latency, and power consumption. - Analyze and troubleshoot issues using tools like tcpdump, Wireshark, debugfs, and kernel debugging techniques. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver stable and high-performing WLAN solutions. **Qualifications Required:** - Strong experience in Linux kernel driver development (C programming). - Hands-on experience with embedded C firmware development and debugging. - In-depth knowledge of Wi-Fi standards (802.11n/ac/ax/be Wi-Fi 4/5/6/7). - Practical experience with hostapd and wpa_supplicant. - Experience with cross-compilation and porting software on embedded platforms. - Familiarity with OpenWrt or similar embedded Linux distributions is an advantage. - Exposure to Qualcomm Atheros, Broadcom, Realtek, or Mediatek Wi-Fi chipsets. - Strong debugging skills using tcpdump, Wireshark, debugfs, and ARM toolchains. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in Wireless Networking (WLAN) development. Immediate or short notice joining is preferred. The work location for this position is Bengaluru, and the drive mode is Face-to-Face (F2F) on Saturdays (Weekend).
