WIRE EDM MACHINIST

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wire EDM Operator to set up, operate, and maintain our Wire EDM machinery to produce high-quality components according to precise specifications. The ideal candidate will be adept at reading complex engineering drawings, troubleshooting machine issues, and ensuring adherence to quality control and safety procedures. Your duties will include manufacturing production, prototype, and experimental components in adherence to written work instructions. Ensuring compliance with AS9100/ISO quality control standards is crucial, promptly identifying and reporting non-conforming materials to the Manager is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Substantial Experience of programming, set up and running of various types of Wire EDM machines without supervision.

· Additionally, you will be responsible for mounting, aligning, and securing work holders, tools, and attachments as per job requirements.

• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to ensure accuracy.
• Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., vernier callipers, micrometres, dial indicators) to verify component dimensions against drawings and maintain tolerances of +/- 0.02mm or better.
• In-depth knowledge of machine shop processes like surface grinding, Lathes, mills and drills.
• Ability to manage and complete all assigned jobs, safely and on time
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of Wire EDM machines and related equipment.
• Understand and implement proper flushing and carbon cleaning procedures for jobs and electrodes.
• Process job planning details for simple to complex part features.
• Manage and complete assigned jobs safely, on time, and within designated timeframes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job status and machine performance.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5 - 10 years of experience operating Wire EDM machines.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to operate and maintain Wire EDM machines efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of precision measuring tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with quality assurance procedures and standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting machine malfunctions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BE, B. TECH, Diploma NCVT/SCVT certificate in a related field.
• Experience with specific Wire EDM machine brands (e.g., Sodick, Charmilles etc).
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM software for generating and modifying part programs.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
• Experience with other CNC machinery such as CNC Turning, VMC or HMC.

Annual Package: ₹2.0–6 LPA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:
