Windows & VMware Administrator

Role Overview: As a Windows & VMware Administrator, you will be responsible for the maintenance, administration, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Windows 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2025 Servers. Your role will involve working with VMware vSphere Infrastructure, including the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of VMware ESXi servers, Virtual appliance, vCenter, ESXi host upgrade, and patching. You will also be tasked with creating and managing VMware clusters, enabling HA and DRS features, configuring virtual switches, port groups, and network connections. Key Responsibilities: - Manage standard templates and deploy VMs from templates - Allocate resources based on client requirements - Ensure security hardening of VMs and ESXi servers for security compliance - Perform snapshots, cloning, and migrations of VMs - Assist with Vulnerability Management by providing support and resolution for critical/high open vulnerabilities on Windows/VMware Servers - Coordinate with Server Owners to address application-related vulnerabilities - Raise risks on insight360 portal for servers surpassing SLA - Manage Data Centre Operations for physical servers like DELL PowerEdge, HP ProLiant, Cisco UCS servers - Liaise with OEM/Partners Technical Support Team to resolve problems - Provide support for various tools and applications such as Windows Defender, SOC SIEM, BigFix, Qualys, CIS CAT, SolarWinds - Collaborate with Backup, Database, and Network teams to address issues - Handle Incident and RITM Management, working on incidents, RITM related to server OS issues, backup failures, access management, and performance alerts - Participate in Change Management activities, including commissioning new servers, decommissioning, OS upgrades, IP change activities, and virtual machine upgrades Qualifications Required: - 1.5 to 3 years of relevant experience - Skills in Windows Admin, VMWare Admin, vSphere, and Onprem Additional Details: This role is based in Chennai and Kolkata with an immediate to 15 days notice period. The contract position also offers a strong potential for conversion to full-time employment upon successful completion of the initial contract period.
