Windows driver development Engineer

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Software Engineer with 5-6 years of experience in Windows driver development and a strong grasp of Windows OS internals. You will be part of a high-impact team building advanced application profiling tools for Windows, leveraging modern C++ and low-level system expertise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Windows kernel-mode and user-mode drivers.
  • Work on performance profiling and instrumentation tools for Windows applications.
  • Analyze and optimize system-level behavior using Windows internals knowledge.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate profiling tools into broader software ecosystems.
  • Debug complex issues across kernel and user space using tools like WinDbg, ETW, and PerfView.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and code reviews with a focus on performance and reliability.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-6 years of hands-on experience in Windows driver development (WDM, KMDF, UMDF).
  • Strong understanding of Windows OS internals (memory management, process/thread scheduling, I/O subsystem).
  • Proficiency in

    modern C++ (C++17 or later)

    with emphasis on performance and system-level programming.
  • Experience with debugging tools (WinDbg, Visual Studio Debugger) and performance analysis tools (ETW, WPA).
  • Familiarity with Windows APIs, registry, and system services.
  • Solid grasp of multithreading, synchronization, and low-level system programming concepts.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelors or master's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
  • Master's degree preferred.
