Education & Fundamentals: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance; good grasp of accounting with knowledge on Accounting software. Bookkeeping & Transaction Entry: Maintain ledgers, record journal entries; process accounts payable & receivable; manage invoices, receipts. Reconciliations : Bank reconciliations, supplier / vendor reconciliations, customer ledger reconciliation. Statutory Compliance: Understanding of GST, TDS, possibly PF/ESI; preparation / filing of returns; awareness of deadlines. Preparation of Financial Statements: Assist / prepare parts of profit & loss statement, balance sheet, maybe simple cash flow, at least in draft or supporting schedules. Software Proficiency:Good skills in Excel ; experience with accounting / ERP softwares (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or industry-specific ERP). Communication & Team Skills: Interacting with vendors, other departments;ability to communicate discrepancies;ability to work under supervision but also take some initiative. Time Management & Meeting Deadlines: Closing monthly books; ensuring return filings; handling multiple tasks with deadlines.
