You will be responsible for analysing and resolving hardware-related issues efficiently to provide quick and effective solutions. Your role will involve conducting hardware testing, debugging, and characterisation to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and manufacturing partners, is essential. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as hardware engineers and vendors, will be necessary to understand procurement requirements. Additionally, you will be involved in small-scale in-lab assembly and internal experiments for triage purposes, with a possibility of travel to deployment sites. To excel in this role, you must possess proficiency in analysing schematics and layouts from PCB design tools like EAGLE, KiCAD, or similar software. A strong knowledge of embedded systems and PCB layout techniques is crucial. Familiarity with hardware components, their specifications, and sourcing channels is required, along with prior experience in component procurement, PCB assembly, and testing. Proficiency in soldering both through-hole and SMT components is a must. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to label and organise data in detail in spreadsheets. You should be adept at analysing and solving hardware-related problems efficiently, meeting deadlines consistently. This is a full-time job that requires your presence in the office from Monday to Saturday. The role is based in Bangalore, and you should be open to relocating to the city.
