Job Title: Jewellery Merchandiser Department: Merchandising / Product Development Reports To: Merchandising Manager / Director Job Summary: The Jewellery Merchandiser will be responsible for planning, developing, and managing jewellery collections and ensuring products meet customer demand, brand positioning, and sales objectives. The role involves coordination between design, production, and sales teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Key Responsibilities: Product Planning & Development Work with design teams to develop new jewellery collections as per seasonal trends and customer preferences. Research global and local fashion/jewellery trends, materials, and finishes. Prepare product briefs and assist in costing, pricing, and margin analysis. Merchandising & Inventory Management Plan product assortments and maintain optimum stock levels. Analyse sales performance and recommend product reorders or discontinuations. Ensure the right product mix is available across retail / online / export channels. Coordination & Communication Liaise with production, QA, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfilment. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for sample development and approvals. Support marketing with product information, pricing, and launch plans. Analysis & Reporting Track sales, customer feedback, and market trends. Prepare weekly/monthly merchandising reports for management. Recommend strategies for improving product performance and profitability. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Jewellery Design, or related field. 2–5 years of experience in jewellery merchandising or product development. Strong knowledge of jewellery materials (gold, silver, diamonds, gemstones, etc.). Excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills. Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, and merchandising software. Eye for design, detail, and market trends. Key Competencies: Commercial awareness and trend forecasting. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines. Team collaboration and problem-solving mindset.
