Job Description

We are hiring for White Box Testing Engineer || 3-5 YOE || Chennai || Contract || Immediate Joiners || WFO

 

Job Title: White Box Testing Engineer (OTT Platform)

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute white box test cases for OTT modules (video playback, authentication, recommendations, CDN, etc.)
  • Analyze code for bugs, performance, and security issues
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites (JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, etc.)
  • Collaborate with developers and DevOps for API and integration validation
  • Ensure high code coverage and maintain detailed test documentation

Required Skills:

  • Strong coding skills in

    Java/Python/JavaScript

  • Experience in

    white box testing

    and automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with

    OTT platforms

    ,

    streaming protocols (HLS, DASH)

    , and

    REST APIs

  • Knowledge of

    CI/CD pipelines

    and

    Git

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with leading OTT apps (Netflix, Hotstar, Prime Video)
  • Exposure to

    performance/load testing (JMeter, Gatling)

  • Understanding of

    video encoding, DRM, ABR streaming

  • ISTQB certification
