Location: - Abu Dhabi / Pune Experience: - Minimum 2 Years GCC Experience Employment Type: - Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a qualified Estimator with hands-on experience in building construction projects within the GCC. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical and commercial estimates for pre-tender submissions, coordinating with engineering and procurement teams, and ensuring compliance with client specifications, authority standards, and company policies. Key Responsibilities · Review tender documents, drawings, BOQs, and specifications to understand project scope and requirements. · Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and pricing sheets for all civil, structural, architectural, and MEP components of building projects. · Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and verify technical compliance. · Prepare pre-tender technical and commercial submissions, ensuring completeness and accuracy. · Coordinate with design, procurement, and project management teams for value engineering and cost optimization. · Identify scope gaps, risks, and clarifications and raise timely queries during tender review. · Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts, unit rates, and comparative statements. · Maintain and update cost databases and material/labour rate schedules. · Participate in post-tender reviews and support project handover to the execution team upon award. Qualifications & Requirements · Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying or equivalent. · Minimum 2 years of experience in estimation within the GCC construction industry, specifically in building projects. · Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and local authority specifications · Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software · Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. · Ability to work under pressure and meet tender submission deadlines. Preferred Skills · Experience with design-build or EPC tenders. · Knowledge of value engineering and cost control techniques. The Estimator will prepare accurate cost estimates for building projects, analyze project specifications, and assess material and labor requirements. The role involves coordinating with architects, engineers, and project teams, conducting feasibility studies, and ensuring cost-effective project strategies. The selected candidate will also contribute to decision-making processes by delivering clear and concise cost reports to management. Qualifications Proficiency in estimating techniques, cost analysis, and project budgeting Familiarity with construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards Strong analytical skills for reviewing technical drawings, blueprints, and contracts Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects Proficiency in relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and ERP systems Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus Please mail your CV on GSK@whistlebugle.in
