Role & responsibilities Were looking for a detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate to join our India office in Bengaluru. In this role, you will prepare medium to complex US and Canadian tax returns, support clients through timely communication, and help them navigate compliance across two tax jurisdictions. Success in this role means delivering accurate filings, anticipating client needs, and ensuring compliance with both IRS and CRA standards. You’ll be an integral part of our global team, working closely with colleagues and clients to simplify the complex world of international tax. Responsibilities Prepare medium to complex US and Canadian individual and cross-border tax returns Communicate with clients to gather information, clarify requirements, and provide timely updates Accurately complete US tax forms, including: 1040, 1040NR, 1116, 8854, 2555, 5471, FBARs, 3520, 8938 Accurately complete Canadian tax forms, including: T1243, T1161, Section 216 returns, T776, T2125 Prepare arrival and departure returns for Canada to ensure compliance for newcomers and emigrants Perform tax equalization calculations for expatriates and global mobility cases Draft responses to IRS and CRA review/audit letters Preferred candidate profile Strong knowledge of both US and Canadian tax compliance and reporting requirements Experience preparing cross-border and non-resident returns Familiarity with expatriate tax rules, including tax equalization and foreign reporting Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a client-focused approach Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with tax preparation software (CCH Axcess, TaxPrep) and Microsoft Office tools
