WELDING ENGINEER

As a Welding Procedure Specialist, your role involves: - Developing and documenting welding procedures under classification societies to ensure compliance and quality standards. - Assessing welder competencies, identifying gaps, and providing necessary training to reduce defects in job outcomes. - Developing new methodologies to enhance productivity and efficiency in welding processes. - Assisting Production by providing Shop Weld Plan (SWP) and Welder Master List (WML) for each project. - Identifying training needs, promoting knowledge sharing, supervising, monitoring, motivating, and ensuring discipline within the team for smooth departmental functioning. - Contributing to quality system practices through Quality Review Meetings, Management Review Meetings, and Corrective Actions to achieve consistent manufacturing with high quality standards. - Projecting and procuring suitable welding equipment required for production and maintaining it with proper calibration. - Testing and approving the use of welding consumables from various suppliers for production processes. - Maintaining the Welding Training/Testing Centre. - Executing any other assigned tasks as required.
