Job description Solve complex problems related to infrastructure cloud services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence. Design, write, and deploy software to improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products and services. Design and develop designs, architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems. Facilitate service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning. The Oracle Cloud is an enterprise cloud for business. It is an integrated suite of services spanning Oracle's complete portfolio based on open Java and SQL standards offering flexible cloud and on-premise deployment. The services offered in our cloud are based upon Oracle's complete portfolio of best-in-class solutions. As part of Oracle Cloud operations, we consolidate and simplify IT operations and applications instances across hosted services in Oracle and maximize the return to Oracle to the customers. We partner with engineering to develop product modules to enable them to be offered as a service. We collaborate with product quality assurance team to run minimum test cases and to ensure high quality service after release of product versions. Our team works with the best of the class next generation oracle Fusion technical-stack components such as Oracle Database 11g, Oracle WebLogic Server 11g, Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Identity management and Oracle Virtual machine etc. The team has excellent expertise in cutting-edge products and technologies like Oracle Fusion applications, hosting products as Software as a Service &Platform as a Service and supporting services in Oracle Cloud computing infrastructure. 3+ years of Oracle APPS DBA experience with BS Computer Science or equivalent qualification from a reputed Institute along with good grades. Production support experience with Oracle 12c database, and expertise with Oracles RAC, ASM and RMAN as a core DBA. Experience with administration of Oracle eBusiness Suite or other enterprise applications as an App DBA. Good Knowledge on Incidents/Request and CHANGE MANAGEMENT process Experience with Oracle Fusion middleware technologies like WebLogic, OAM, OIM, IDM, SOA,Hyperion, BI/ OBIEE, EPM, and WebCenter. As Application Engineer, the candidate is responsible for provisioning, maintaining application servers and all the middleware J2EE applications on multiple servers. Work is non-routine and complex, involving the application of advanced technical skills in the area of specialization. The individual needs to standardize the operations based on the best practices so that they can be repeated across servers. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, and possibly providing direction and mentoring to others. More than 2 - 5 years of experience in administering WebLogic application server and deploying applications on WebLogic server. Good working knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager and WebLogic tools(WebLogic Server Administrator Console, WebLogic Scripting Tool, WebLogic Configuration Wizard, WebLogic Configuration Template Builder, WebLogic Server Apache Ant tasks, WebLogic Server SNMP Agents) is necessary. Performance tuning WebLogic Server and WebLogic Server applications. Isolate and troubleshoot issues related to application access, system performance, peak loads Experience in Shell scripting Configure WebLogic Server Environment for High Availability Experience with an organization with a key 24 X 7 reliance on its database is desirable. Real Time Application Cluster experience is preferred. Experience in managing servers in Oracle VM environment, WebLogic Server management, Data warehouse & ETL are nice to have. BS in Computer Science or equivalent qualification is needed. Oracle certification is a big plus. The Candidate would need to work well in a team environment, should have strong interpersonal skills and strong documentation skills. Responsibilities Work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team on the shared full stack ownership of a collection of services and/or technology areas. Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services. Responsible for the design and delivery of the mission critical stack, with focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. Authority for end-to-end performance and operability. Partner with development teams in defining and implementing improvements in service architecture. Articulate technical characteristics of services and technology areas and guide Development Teams to engineer and add premier capabilities to the Oracle Cloud service portfolio. Understand and communicate the scale, capacity, security, performance attributes, and requirements of the service and technology stack. Demonstrate clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles. Act as ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues that have not yet been documented as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Utilize a deep understanding of service topology and their dependencies required to troubleshoot issues and define mitigations. Understand and explain the affect of product architecture decisions on distributed systems. Professional curiosity and a desire to a develop deep understanding of services and technologies.
