As a WASM/Web Assembly Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing WebAssembly modules for performance-critical web applications. Your responsibilities will include porting existing C/C++/Rust libraries and applications to WebAssembly for browser usage, collaborating with frontend and backend engineers to integrate WebAssembly components seamlessly, identifying performance bottlenecks, and optimizing WebAssembly builds for minimal footprint and maximum speed. To excel in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on systems programming, web technologies, or both. A deep understanding of WebAssembly, its compilation toolchains, and integration techniques is required. Proficiency in low-level languages like C/C++, Rust, or similar is essential, along with a solid grasp of web technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and Web APIs. Experience with browser debugging, performance profiling, and optimizing WebAssembly applications will be beneficial. Additionally, you should possess knowledge of security concerns related to WebAssembly, familiarity with frontend frameworks like React or Next.js is a plus, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and collaborative environment is crucial. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills are also essential for success in this role.
