Web Application Firewall - Analyst IT Security

As an Analyst Infra Security at Carelon Global Solutions India, your role will involve supporting the strategic security and compliance objectives. You will collaborate with the Application Security team in a fast-paced, results-driven InfoSec organization. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Designing, configuring, deploying, and supporting Web Application Firewall (WAF), DoS, and BOT mitigation policies for on-premise and cloud WAF deployments. - Working closely with the application security team to ensure applications are secure and compliant with industry standards. - Demonstrating expertise in DNS, network protocols, and web technologies such as IP, TCP, UDP, SSL/TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, gRPC, and web sockets. - Providing operational support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of security processes and products. - Analyzing, configuring, testing, documenting, and implementing upgrades to WAF security processes and controls. - Recognizing, analyzing patterns, and responding to security events, escalating when necessary. - Consulting with technical and business peers to support and resolve Cybersecurity events. - Configuring, deploying, and maintaining WAF solutions, developing, testing, and troubleshooting WAF rules and signatures. Qualifications required for this role include: - A Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4-8+ years of experience as an Application Security Analyst/Engineer and WAF Security Engineer. - Experience working in large organizations in fast-paced environments. - Experience with large-scale application onboardings and migrations between WAF solutions. - Strong skills in cybersecurity, network security architecture, and industry standard WAF solutions. - Knowledge of Layer 7 security attacks, application security vulnerabilities, CDN and caching techniques, and cloud platforms.
