As DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for building highly available solutions that can scale globally across a multitude of digital, consumer facing, financial products. You willdevelop, support, administer and consult in a business-critical infrastructure environment. As part of a DevOps team of highly experienced engineers running a large-scale global deployment, you will be exposed to an exciting blend of engineering and operational responsibilities, with a healthy dose of risk management. How will you fulfill your potential Build on-premise and cloud infrastructures including Linux VMs/containers and associated configuration. Setup Infrastructure in AWS including security and network related configurations. Have an indepth knowledge of containers and deploy code in AWS environments such as ECS, Lambda and EKS. Implement CI/CD pipelines to insure reliable and controlled delivery of both in-house software and vendor software. Interact closely with Application Development engineers, Technology and Critical Infrastructure teams and vendor teams to ensure that the solutions being implemented are scalable and highly automated, from infrastructure provisioning to code deployment, and support. Ensure that observability is a key metric in everything that is done and enable data driven insights into platforms that are being supported. Industrialize essential systems via automation, provide training and internal consultancy on SDLC and technical risk topics Answer support calls as needed, release code to production, contribute back to the firms infrastructure automation capabilities and collaborate closely with teams within and across the firm. Basic Qualifications Degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent industry experience 3+ years of relevant experience with DevOps Preferred Qualifications Experience with Infrastructure As Code using tools such as Terraform Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Experience with AWS Cloud engineering, certification preferred Experience in the following programming languages: Python, Perl, Shell Scripting (knowledge of Java, C++, NodeJS or TypeScript is a plus) Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana Understanding of micro-services and related architectures Experience with storage and networking stacks experience with all stages (inception, analysis, design, implementation, runtime, maintenance) in the lifecycle of large distributed systems Experience with managing performance, availability and scale for mid to large sized systems Experience with software development on Linux (Windows is a plus) Exceptional analytical skills with a desire to learn Works effectively and thrives in a global team organization while able to operate independently Excellent verbal and written communication skills
