Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Operator – Profile
Position: WTP Operator
Department: Utilities / Engineering / ETP–WTP Section
Reporting To: Plant Engineer / Utility Manager
Key Responsibilities
1. Operate and monitor the Water Treatment Plant (WTP), ensuring continuous and safe water supply as per process requirements.
2. Check and maintain parameters like pH, turbidity, chlorine, hardness, conductivity, TDS.
3. Start, stop, and regulate pumps, motors, valves, dosing systems, filters, softeners, RO units, UV/ozone systems.
4. Perform backwashing, regeneration, flushing, CIP (Cleaning in Place) of membranes and filters.
5. Maintain logbooks for daily water consumption, chemical consumption, and test results.
6. Collect samples and coordinate with lab/QA team for analysis.
7. Conduct preventive maintenance and support breakdown maintenance with engineering.
8. Follow all safety protocols and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
9. Maintain housekeeping and chemical storage safety in the WTP area.
10. Report abnormalities, leakages, or unusual readings immediately to supervisor.

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
