We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. This critical role involves managing all costs related to building and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to the final accounts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of ensuring projects are completed within budget and meet high-quality standards through effective cost management and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities
· Cost Estimation & Planning: Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documents by analysing architectural and structural drawings and specifications.
· Budget Management: Monitor and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle, including forecasting and tracking expenses to identify variances and potential cost-saving opportunities (value engineering).
· Contract Administration: Review, negotiate, and manage contracts with contractors, suppliers, and vendors, advising on legal and contractual issues to ensure compliance with regulations
· Valuation & Payments: Value completed work, prepare and process interim and final valuations, and manage subcontractor payments and invoices.
· Risk Management: Identify potential financial and commercial risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
· Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all project costs and financial transactions, preparing regular budget reports and financial analyses for stakeholders.
· Collaboration: Liaise effectively with clients, architects, engineers, project managers, and on-site teams to ensure alignment and smooth project delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
· Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry,
· Education: A Bachelor's degree / Diploma in, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
· Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings (Architectural, Structural, MEP).
o Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and standard methods of measurement
familiarity with contract law and standard contract forms.
· Soft Skills:
o Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
o Strong negotiation and communication (written and verbal) skills.
o Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive under pressure.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
