Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented professional to lead Business Development and Sales & Marketing activities in the field of steel bridges and structural steel buildings. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of infrastructure projects involving Indian Railways, NHAI, MORTH, and related agencies, and a proven ability to develop relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, and government authorities. Key Responsibilities: Identify and pursue business opportunities in steel bridges (Railways, NHAI, MORTH) and steel buildings (warehouses, PEBs, industrial structures). Develop strong relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, and project authorities. Lead tendering and pre-qualification processes for government and PSU projects. Drive market intelligence and competitor analysis to align business strategies. Meet and exceed sales targets through a structured and strategic approach. Rquired Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; MBA in Marketing is a plus. 3–5 years of experience in business development/sales in infrastructure, preferably in steel bridges or fabrication-based projects. Strong understanding of government tendering procedures (especially Railways, NHAI, MORTH). Knowledge of RDSO norms and bridge fabrication standards is highly preferred. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Willingness to travel frequently across India for business development activities.

The role involves conducting inspections, maintaining quality records, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and assisting in audits to uphold WBIPLs commitment to excellence in construction and manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: 1. Quality Inspection & Testing: • Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, fabrication processes, and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards. • Perform basic material testing for concrete, steel, and geotechnical components as per IS codes and project specifications. • Assist in non-destructive testing (NDT), welding inspections, and surface treatment checks. • Document and report quality deviations, defects, and corrective actions. 2. Compliance & Documentation: • Ensure that all construction activities comply with Indian Standards (IS), IRC, ASTM, and ISO 9001 quality guidelines. • Maintain quality records, test reports, and inspection logs for audits and reference. • Assist in internal and external audits related to quality management systems. • Support the Quality Manager in preparing quality assurance plans, work procedures, and reports. 3. Coordination & Process Improvement: • Coordinate with the production, fabrication, and site teams to resolve quality issues. • Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for identified defects. • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve quality control processes. • Participate in quality training sessions to enhance team awareness of best practices. Qualifications & Skills : Education: • Diploma / B.E. in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Quality Management. • Certification in ISO 9001, NDT, or QA/QC practices is a plus. Experience: • 2-4 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control in construction, steel fabrication, or infrastructure projects. • Experience with bridges, structural steel works, or railway track components is preferred.
