About the Role We are seeking an experienced Chef specializing in authentic Andhra and South Indian cuisine , with a strong understanding of traditional recipes, regional flavours, and modern healthy cooking techniques. The ideal candidate will be passionate about preserving the authenticity of Andhra dishes while adapting them to suit health-conscious customers, including low-oil, low-salt, gluten-free, and millet-based preparations. Key Responsibilities Develop and prepare authentic Andhra and South Indian dishes , including staple meals, pickles, chutneys, curries, podi varieties, snacks, sweets, and festive menus. Innovate and adapt recipes to create health-focused meal options , including: Low-oil and low-sodium variations Millet-based meals (ragi, bajra, jowar, etc.) Balanced nutrition meal bowls and thali concepts Diabetic-friendly and heart-healthy options Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation across dishes. Create seasonal and festival special menus aligned with Andhra culinary traditions. Manage kitchen operations including inventory, hygiene, food cost control, and meal planning. Ensure compliance with FSSAI food safety standards and maintain proper documentation. Train and supervise junior kitchen staff where required. Collaborate with management on menu engineering, diet planning, and customer feedback improvements. Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a Chef specializing in Andhra and broader South Indian cuisine . Strong understanding of: Traditional preparation methods Spice balancing and homemade masala preparation Knowledge of health and nutrition principles and ingredient substitutions. Familiarity with portion control, production efficiency, and kitchen SOPs. Ability to work in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
