Job Description

We are looking for a skilled VMC Operator to operate and maintain Vertical Machining Centers for precision component manufacturing. The candidate should be capable of handling machining operations as per drawings and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate VMC machines for production and job work

Read and understand engineering drawings and machining tolerances

Load programs and perform basic offsets and tool changes

Select proper cutting tools, fixtures, and work holding methods

Measure components using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.

Ensure components meet quality and dimensional standards

Perform basic machine maintenance and daily TPM checks

Identify and report machining or tool-related issues

Maintain proper production and inspection records

Follow safety, quality, and company procedures at all times

Required Skills & Qualifications

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Machining, or relevant trade

Hands-on experience in VMC machine operation

Knowledge of G-code basics (preferred)

Good understanding of machining processes and tools

Ability to work independently and in a team

Willingness to work in shifts if required

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

Experience in job shop / precision manufacturing

Exposure to fixtures, jigs, and special purpose machines

Basic knowledge of CNC programming or CAM software
