VMC Machine Operator

Role Overview: You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) to produce precision parts based on engineering drawings and blueprints. Your key duties will include interpreting blueprints, performing CNC programming, monitoring machine operations, ensuring quality standards through inspection, conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting minor issues, and maintaining safety protocols and production records. Key Responsibilities: - Set up, operate, and maintain VMC machines to produce parts according to specifications. - Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions. - Program, set up, and operate CNC machines, often with a good understanding of CNC programming and CAD/CAM software. - Inspect and measure finished parts using precision tools (like calipers and micrometers) to ensure compliance with quality specifications. - Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot minor issues, and keep machines in optimal working condition. - Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Qualification Required: - Previous experience as a VMC Machine Operator or similar role. - Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints. - Knowledge of CNC programming and CAD/CAM software. - Ability to use precision tools for quality inspection. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards. - Good troubleshooting skills and a focus on machine maintenance. - Adherence to safety guidelines and protocols.
