VMC Machine CAM Programmer (Toolroom)

You will be a valuable addition to our dynamic team as a skilled and experienced VMC Machine CAM Programmer. Your primary responsibility will include programming, setting up, and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) in our tool room to ensure precision machining. Your key responsibilities will involve developing and optimizing CAM programs for VMC machines to manufacture high-precision components. You will interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to create efficient machining programs. Additionally, setting up VMC machines, including tool selection, offsets, and fixture alignment, will be part of your daily tasks. You will also conduct trial runs, inspect finished components, and ensure compliance with quality standards. Troubleshooting technical issues, performing machine maintenance, and collaborating with design and production teams for efficient production are essential aspects of this role. Maintaining accurate documentation of programs, setup sheets, and tooling information is crucial. Furthermore, adherence to workplace safety guidelines and company policies is required at all times. To qualify for this role, you should have a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a CAM programmer for VMC machines, preferably in tool room applications, is necessary. Proficiency in CAM software, a strong understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, and materials, as well as the ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T, are essential.
