Role Description This is a remote freelance/contract-based DevOps role for setting up and managing Magento 2 environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying Magento 2 on a new domain hosted on a shared VPS environment—without disrupting the existing Magento 2 installation connected to another domain. Key Responsibilities: Install and configure Magento 2 on Hostinger VPS with Ubuntu + CloudPanel Ensure zero downtime or interference with the existing Magento instance Set up domain-specific configurations (vHosts, SSL, PHP versions) Optimize server performance for Magento (Redis, Varnish, Elasticsearch, etc.) Secure the environment with best practices (firewall, file permissions, backups) Implement CI/CD pipelines if required Provide post-deployment testing and support Qualifications Proven experience with Magento 2 DevOps, Linux server management, and deployment pipelines Strong understanding of Hostinger VPS, Ubuntu, and CloudPanel Hands-on expertise with Apache/Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB, PHP-FPM, and Magento CLI Ability to isolate environments for multiple Magento installs on a shared VPS Familiarity with Magento 2 architecture and best deployment practices Experience with SSH, SSL setup, and DNS configuration Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and log analysis skills Excellent communication and documentation abilities Preferred: Magento 2 Developer or DevOps Certification Experience with Git, Docker, or Ansible for automation Prior projects using Hostinger and CloudPanel
