Prepare and file personal income tax returns ( Self Assessment Tax Return i.e. Form SA 100) for a diverse client base. We work closely with our UK tax managers for the preparation of Individual tax returns, Trust tax returns and P11Ds return for their portfolio clients. Complete clients tax documentation i.e will review the clients tax records, such as P60, P11D, Rental statements and expenses invoices etc, to gather the necessary information to complete the tax return. Collect data from income statements and expenses documents. Identification and documentation of issues and preparation of client queries. Interpret tax laws and regulations to apply them to clients specific situation, research specific tax issues in order to properly prepare a clients tax return. Review financial records such as income statements, expense documents, and previous tax returns to determine the correct tax filing. • Advise clients on tax planning and tax-saving strategies. • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and clarify complex tax issues. • Represent clients in dealings with tax authorities, including audits and inquiries. • Identify opportunities to optimise tax positions and mitigate tax liabilities. • Maintain confidentiality and security of all financial data and client information. • Assist clients with tax-related questions and concerns throughout the year, not just during tax season. • Collaborate with other team members and departments to provide comprehensive financial solutions. • Manage and mentor a junior team member within the Personal Tax department. The UK tax return expertise that we are looking for is: Rental income Investment income and gains (dividends, interest, capital gains) Trading income (self-employment, partnerships) Other owner-managed business expertise e.g. remuneration for owners of limited companies Employment income (P11D, expenses, etc) Qualification and Skills • ATT/CTA qualified or QBE. • Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a UK accountancy practice in personal tax advisory and preparation. • Strong knowledge of UK tax laws and international tax considerations. • Proficiency with tax preparation software and financial analysis tools. • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. • Strong communication and client management skills. • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks.
Major responsibilities & duties include: Providing a broad range of tax compliance and consulting services to corporations, partnerships, and individuals. Involvement with taxation of C (Form 1120) and S Corporations (Form 1120-S), Partnership tax compliance (Form 1065), ASC 740, and individual (Form 1040) and trust taxation. Experiencing in preparing nonprofit tax returns (Form 990) is a plus. Review of tax returns. Managing and communicating workflow on engagements with audit team and tax staff. Supervising, training, and mentoring tax staff. Identifying, researching, and consulting on complex tax matters. The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field. Minimum 10 years progressive tax experience in a public accounting firm or offshore provider with U.S. tax regulations. CPA or CA is required Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with CCH suite of products is a plus (Engagement, Tax, Workflow, Fixed Assets) Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex tasks, clients, and projects. Ability to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously and excellent attention to detail.
Major responsibilities & duties include: Managing and communicating workflow on engagements with the audit team and tax team to ensure quality service and timely issuance of deliverables. Managing audits, deliverable deadlines, and staff as directed with minimal oversight from partners. Engagement reviews. Managing multiple client deadlines simultaneously, sometimes in a fast-paced environment. Oversight and direct supervision of a team could range from two to six individuals (both offshore and employees within the firm) Interaction and participation directly with audit leadership at the firm Identifying, researching, and consulting on technical matters (auditing and reporting). The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics: Bachelors degree in accounting or related field CPA or CA is required Minimum 10 years of prior assurance experience conducting financial statement audits in a public accounting firm or offshore provider with U.S. GAAP Strong technical background and knowledge of accounting standards from the Financial Accounting Standards Board Strong technical background and knowledge of auditing standards issued by the AICPA. Familiarity with U.S. Government Auditing Standards and the Uniform Guidance would be a plus Experience in applying audit methodology, substantive analytics and risk assessments, including an understanding of internal controls. Experience in managing a team of two to six individuals. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Organized, detail-oriented, and ability to follow through with minimal oversight. Familiarity with CCH suite of products is a plus (Engagement, Workflow, Fixed Assets) Candidates with experience with the CCH Knowledge Coach methodology will be strongly considered.
