Job Title: Production Engineer (Fabrication & Manufacturing) Job Type: Full-time Role Overview We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Production Engineer to oversee and optimize fabrication and manufacturing operations. The role involves planning, monitoring, and coordinating production activities, ensuring quality compliance, efficient resource utilization, and timely delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in structural steel, pressure vessels, or heavy fabrication. Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Monitoring Assess and analyze current production methods to improve efficiency. Prepare and update daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules. Ensure 100% material availability before starting production and verify material specifications. Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of fabrication jobs. Quality Assurance & Compliance Study GAD (General Arrangement Drawings) & ITP (Inspection Test Plans) before any operation. Verify all jobs are fitted as per drawing and offer for QA/QC clearance before welding. Ensure adherence to WPS (Welding Procedure Specification), drawings, and quality standards. Comply with QA observation points and ensure corrective actions for non-conformance. Prepare jobs for final inspection and PDI. Process Improvement & Efficiency Optimize material usage and minimize wastage. Develop fixtures for standard production processes. Identify bottlenecks and suggest process improvements. Implement lean manufacturing and 5S practices. Coordination & Training Coordinate with QA/QC, design, purchase, stores, and vendors for smooth workflow. Support in root cause analysis and corrective actions. Train and guide shop-floor workers to enhance skills and productivity. Preferred Candidate Profile Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering or equivalent. 1 - 2 years of hands-on experience in fabrication & manufacturing (structural steel, pressure vessels, heavy fabrication, etc.). Strong knowledge of QA/QC standards, welding processes, and fabrication techniques. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive process improvements.
