Role Description Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating Industrial IoT and Automation hardware platforms. This includes ruggedized hardware design, industrial communication protocols, testing, certification compliance, and QMS-based documentation management. Key Responsibilities: Design hardware platforms for Industrial IoT and Industrial Automation applications. Perform schematic design, hardware bring-up, signal integrity analysis, debugging, and root-cause investigation. Utilize deep knowledge of Linux, Single Board Computers and 32-bit MCUs to design electronic circuits around it. Integrate industrial and wireless communication interfaces: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485/RS232, USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, BLE, Zigbee, LoRaWAN. Select components ensuring performance, reliability, lifecycle longevity, and supply chain robustness. Design rugged systems with surge/ESD protection and industrial-grade safety practices. Perform schematic design, hardware bring-up, signal integrity analysis, debugging, and root-cause investigation. Provide production support including test jig design and manufacturing issue debugging. Ensure environmental ruggedization compliance (e.g., IP65/IP67, shock/vibration standards). Understanding of compliance with EMI/EMC, CE, UL, FCC, and industrial product standards. Prepare and maintain QMS documentation with traceability and version-controlled records. Understanding of compliance with EMI/EMC, CE, UL, FCC, and industrial product standards. B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in EEE / ECE / Electronics. Minimum 4-8 years of experience in electronic circuit design and PCB hardware development for industrial systems. Strong knowledge in Digital & Analog Electronics, power stages, and protection circuitry. PCB Design Tools: Fusion 360 – Eagle (minimum 2-layer PCB design), Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad. Experience in PCB layout review, stack-up design, and SI/PI considerations. Knowledge of memory/storage interfaces: RAM, eMMC, SD card, Flash/NVM. Familiarity with embedded code for board validation (basic Embedded C, Python) Proficient with hardware test instruments and signal/data analysis tools. Expertise in Design for Manufacturability and Reliability (DFM, DFA). Knowledge of EMI/EMC compliance — design and pre-compliance validation.
