About the Role We are hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the technical strategy, architecture, and delivery of our cybersecurity platform. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll be building and scaling a small, high-performing team, owning end-to-end engineering execution, and laying the foundation for our product and culture. Responsibilities Own and execute the engineering roadmap in alignment with company goals Build and scale a lean engineering team, hiring and mentoring talent Drive the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable software products Establish best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, observability, and architecture Collaborate with founders, product, and design to translate business needs into technical execution Make technical decisions on architecture, tools, and platform design Set and track engineering KPIs for velocity, quality, and reliability Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards Stay ahead of emerging technologies and bring in the right innovations at the right time Success in the First 12 Months Build and scale an initial engineering team of 5–7 engineers Deliver the MVP release of Visiblaze IQ and set the roadmap for enterprise readiness Establish secure, automated CI/CD pipelines and monitoring baselines Define and document engineering best practices and architecture standards Demonstrate measurable improvements in team velocity and product quality Requirements Minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience At least 4+ years hands-on development At least 2–3 years in engineering management (team building, delivery) Proven ability to hire, mentor, and grow engineering talent Experience delivering SaaS products (cybersecurity, cloud, or compliance preferred) Strong foundation in system architecture, microservices, and cloud-native design Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Redis, and scalable data modeling Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) or similar cloud environments Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams Nice to Have Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis Streams) Experience with monitoring & logging tools (Prometheus, ELK, CloudWatch) Exposure to compliance-driven environments (SOC 2, ISO 27001) Understanding of security best practices for SaaS products What We Offer Competitive salary + equity package Career growth – opportunities for technical leadership and architecture ownership Health & wellness benefits Professional development – sponsored certifications, training, and conferences Generous time off and holidays Modern tech stack and collaborative, innovation-driven culture
