1. Engineering Leadership & Strategy: Lead and manage the engineering department, including design, process optimization, equipment maintenance, and project management teams. Develop and implement engineering strategies to improve the efficiency, scalability, and profitability of Aluminum extrusion production processes. Collaborate with senior leadership to define the plant engineering objectives, goals, and annual budgets. Ensure that engineering practices and processes align with corporate goals and industry standards for Aluminum Extrusion manufacturing. 2. Process Optimization & Quality Control: Oversee the optimization of production processes to achieve high-quality Aluminum Extrusion products, minimize downtime, and increase operational efficiency. Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production flow and reduce waste. Ensure consistent quality assurance through monitoring production processes and implementing corrective measures when necessary. Coordinate with the quality control team to ensure the final products meet international standards and customer requirements. 3. Plant Maintenance & Equipment Management: Develop a comprehensive maintenance strategy to ensure plant equipment operates at peak performance, reducing unplanned downtime. Supervise the maintenance, repair, and replacement of plant machinery and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Forecast the lifecycle of equipment and make recommendations for investments in new machinery or technologies that could increase production efficiency. 4. Team Leadership & Development: Build and lead a high-performance engineering team through recruitment, mentoring, and skill development. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning within the engineering department. Provide coaching, performance evaluations, and career development plans for direct reports. Ensure all team members are trained in the latest manufacturing technologies and health & safety standards. 5. Budgeting & Cost Control: Manage the engineering department's budget, ensuring that all projects are completed within financial constraints. Implement cost-saving measures through energy efficiency, equipment upgrades, and process improvements. Prepare reports on project status, resource allocation, and engineering department performance for executive review. 6. Project Management: Lead new capital projects, including plant expansions, equipment installations, and process redesigns. Coordinate project schedules, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and report status to senior management. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements during all stages of the project lifecycle. 7. Safety Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards. Promote a safe working environment for all employees. Investigate and address any safety incidents or concerns. 8. Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and engineering, to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise between departments. 9. Maintenance : Develops and manages maintenance plans, including preventive and scheduled maintenance. Ensures equipment is well-maintained to minimize downtime and enhance reliability. 10. Technology & Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in Aluminum Extrusion manufacturing technologies and renewable energy. Drive the integration of cutting-edge technologies to enhance product quality and production efficiency. Foster a culture of innovation within the team to improve production processes and reduce operational costs. Experience & Skill Set : At least 20-30 years of experience in an engineering (Aluminum Extrusion) or plant management role, preferably in the Aluminum Extrusion industry. 10+ Years of experience leading the overall Aluminium Extrusion Engineering Plant Setup (Engineering-Head Role) is an added advantage. Proven experience in managing large teams and complex projects in a high-volume production environment. Strong knowledge of Aluminum Extrusion production technologies, manufacturing processes, and industry standards. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree or MBA (Project Management or Maintenance) is a plus. Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management tools and techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. In-depth knowledge of process optimization techniques, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies. Experience with plant maintenance and equipment lifecycle management. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost control.
