Job Purpose To ensure smooth functioning of the organization’s Management Information Systems (MIS) by maintaining accurate data flow, supporting branches in day-to-day MIS activities, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and ensuring IT infrastructure is secure, reliable, and aligned with business needs of the microfinance sector. Key ResponsibilitiesMIS & Data Management Maintain, update, and monitor MIS databases for loan disbursement, collections, client data, and staff operations. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports (Portfolio, PAR, Disbursement, Collection, Client Outstanding, etc.) for management and regulatory compliance. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data entry and report generation from branch to head office. Support field officers and branch staff in using MIS/ERP software effectively. Perform regular data validation, error correction, and reconciliation with finance/accounts department. IT & Hardware Support Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, biometric devices, scanners, routers, etc.) across branches. Provide first-level technical support for software issues (loan management systems, HR/payroll, accounting tools). Ensure regular system backups, antivirus updates, and IT security compliance. Maintain inventory of IT assets and coordinate with vendors for AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) or repairs. Assist in the setup of new branches/offices with required IT infrastructure. Training & Support Train branch and field staff on MIS usage, mobile app operations, and hardware handling. Document user manuals/guidelines for smooth IT operations. Provide on-call/remote support for urgent branch-level technical issues. Compliance & Coordination Ensure MIS reports meet RBI/NABARD/other regulatory standards in the microfinance sector. Coordinate with auditors and regulatory bodies for MIS/data requirements. Work closely with Operations, Finance, and HR teams to support organizational goals. Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of MIS tools, MS Excel (advanced), SQL, and reporting dashboards . Experience with Loan Management Software / Microfinance ERP systems . Hardware troubleshooting skills (PCs, printers, biometric devices, LAN/WAN, networking). Basic knowledge of database management and data security practices . Analytical mindset with attention to detail. Good communication skills to interact with non-technical staff. Ability to multitask and work under pressure in branch-level environments. Qualifications & Experience Graduate in Computer Science, IT, BCA, MCA, or related field . Minimum 2–4 years of experience in MIS and IT support (preferably in the Microfinance/Banking/NBFC sector). Knowledge of Microfinance operations (loan cycles, group lending, PAR reporting, etc.) will be an added advantage.
