Engineering Manager Virginia Transformer India Pvt Ltd - Delhi, a wholly owned subsidiary of Virginia - Georgia Transformer Corporation , the largest and fastest growing power transformer manufacturer in the US, has an immediate opening for an Engineering Manager to manage design engineers team in India. Role and Responsibilities: Manages and supervises team of 100 Electrical, Mechanical & Control design engineers for designing & development of Power transformers manufactured in many USA plants Defines and ensure implementation of policies for the teams Improve team performance to ensure that deliverables are met on time and with quality requirements. Develops and drives continuous improvement plans. Ensures meeting customer requirements Ensures that the engineering team is adequately resourced, developed and equipped to meet business needs. Assign tasks, defines and measure relevant performance metrics. Facilitates best practice sharing within the engineering team. Co-ordinates with mfg plants engineering Office at USA . Guides, motivates, coaches and develops direct and indirect subordinates. The candidate should possess the following skills: Strong leadership, decision making, problem solving, analytical , planning and organizational skills. Team player with effective motivational, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multi-task and execute work to meet schedules and deadlines. Good experience working with multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural and socially diverse teams. Flexible and adaptable to the demands of the job. Resourceful, efficient, reliable and diligent. Job location Vadodara Work hours US east coast Education & Experience: Masters degree/Diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field 25 years of progressive design engineering experience progressing to manager in transformer, Motor and switchgear manufacturing company , OR with at least 10 years of increasing design engineering responsibility in a power electrical manufacturing environment. Strong technical project management experience with the ability to establish and measure KPI’s.
