Role & responsibilities Set up and operate CNC/VMC machines as per job specifications. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Load raw materials and tools into machines and ensure proper alignment. Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations from standard tolerances. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines. Inspect finished products using measuring tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc. Record production data and maintain job logs. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to resolve machining issues. Requirements: ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, Tool & Die, or related fields. Minimum 13 years of experience in CNC or VMC operations. Proficient in reading technical drawings and using measurement instruments. Knowledge of machine codes (G-Code, M-Code) is a plus. Ability to work in shifts and handle multiple machine setups. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Preferred Skills: Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, or Haas controllers. Basic programming knowledge (not mandatory but desirable). Familiarity with different types of materials like steel, aluminum, and cast iron.
