We are looking for a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our coaching classes and guide students from the 5th to 10th grades in mastering the English language and literature. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for diverse learners. Key Responsibilities Lesson Planning & Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons covering English grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing skills (e.g., essays, reports, creative writing), and literature analysis according to the specified curriculum guidelines for students in grades 5-10. Student Assessment: Develop, administer, and grade assignments, homework, quizzes, and tests to assess student progress effectively. Progress Monitoring & Feedback: Evaluate student performance, record and report on their development, and provide timely, constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians to support improvement. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, organized, and disciplined classroom atmosphere that is conducive to learning and encourages student participation and interaction. Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varying needs, abilities, and learning styles of individual students, including those requiring extra help. Curriculum Development: Collaborate with other teaching staff to develop and enhance course materials and implement modern, effective teaching methodologies. Communication & Collaboration: Foster open and respectful communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best possible student outcomes. Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest teaching methods and subject matter developments through continuous professional development and training sessions. Required Qualifications and Skills Education: A Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field. A B.Ed. or teaching certification is preferred. Experience: Prior experience in teaching English to middle and high school students (grades 5-10) in a school or coaching institute setting is highly advantageous. Language Proficiency: Exceptional command of the English language, including impeccable grammar, spelling, pronunciation, and writing skills. Teaching Ability: Knowledge of various effective teaching methods and the ability to engage students in meaningful and fun activities. Interpersonal Skills: Patience, empathy, adaptability, and strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students and parents. Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and a willingness to integrate educational technology into lessons. Preferred Qualifications A Master's degree in English or Education. Experience with different curriculum frameworks (e.g., CBSE, state boards, etc.). Familiarity with project-based learning and other innovative instructional practices. Working Conditions This position is for our physical coaching centre and may require working fixed hours, potentially including evenings or weekends, to accommodate students' after-school schedules.
