To lead and oversee the placement and training functions across all institutions under the umbrella of Vidya Vikas institutions to ensure 100% placements for eligible students, secure top-tier recruiters, and achieve year-on-year growth in salary packages for students. The Director will act as a strategic partner to the institutions principals, aligning placement strategies with industry demands and institutional goals. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership and Planning • Develop and implement a comprehensive, institution-wide placement strategy that aligns with industry trends, student skill sets, and institutional objectives of 100% placements • Identify emerging industries, sectors, and companies to diversify placement opportunities across all institutions within Vidya Vikas institutions • Collaborate with principals and placement heads to ensure alignment of placement goals with student development and student readiness • Establish a long-term vision for placements & training, focusing on building a strong employer brand for the institution 2. Industry Engagement and Partnerships • Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier companies, recruiters, and industry leaders to secure high-quality placement opportunities • Establish strategic partnerships with industry bodies, associations, and corporate houses to enhance placement prospect • Organize industry conclaves, networking events, and corporate meets to strengthen the institutions presence in the recruitment ecosystem • Discuss with principals on industry demands, skill requirements, and market trends to tailor placement strategies and training programs 3. Student preparation and skills training for student readiness • Design and implement a robust Student Development Program (SDP) to enhance students employability skills, including technical, soft, and interpersonal skills • Conduct mock interviews, group discussions, aptitude tests, and workshops to prepare students for placement processes • Provide career counselling and guidance to students to help them identify suitable career paths and opportunities 4. Placement management • Oversee the end-to-end placement process, including pre-placement talks, campus drives, interviews, and selection processes • Ensure seamless coordination between recruiters, students, and placement teams to deliver a positive experience for all stakeholders • Monitor and evaluate placement activities to ensure adherence to timelines and academic calendars • Address challenges and bottlenecks in the placement process to ensure smooth execution 5. Alumni engagement • Reach out to the alumni network to create placement opportunities, mentorship programs, and industry Connects. Organize alumni meets, webinars, and networking events to deepen engagement and collaboration • Maintain a strong alumni database and track their career progression to showcase success stories and strengthen the institutions brand 6. Data management and reporting • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of placement statistics, including placement percentages, salary packages, and industry-wise placements • Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for the management and other stakeholders to track progress & outcomes.
