Job Title: School Accountant (Onsite) Location: Bargarh, Odisha Employment Type: Full-time | Onsite About the Role We are looking for a reliable School Accountant to handle complete accounting and compliance for our institution. The role requires strong knowledge of Tally ERP (priority), statutory compliance, payroll, and CBSE-related financial documentation. Prior experience in a school or college environment will be preferred. Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Bookkeeping Manage accounts in Tally ERP – journal entries, ledgers, trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet. Handle accounts receivable/payable, vendor reconciliations, and student fee records. Maintain cash book, vouchers, and bank reconciliations. Payroll & Compliance Process payroll, salary slips, and deductions (PF, ESI, TDS). File GST, TDS, PF, and ESI returns on time. Maintain statutory records and assist in audits. Ensure compliance with CBSE accounting and audit requirements . Financial Reporting & Audit Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring. Coordinate with statutory auditors and CBSE authorities. ERP & Technology (Add-on) Operate school ERP system for fee collection and reporting (add-on skill). Reconcile ERP reports with Tally records for accuracy. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance (B.Com/M.Com preferred). 2–5 years of accounting experience (school/college preferred). Strong command of Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime and MS Excel . Knowledge of GST, TDS, payroll, and statutory compliances. Familiarity with CBSE audit requirements. ERP accounting knowledge (preferred, not mandatory). High accuracy, confidentiality, and problem-solving ability. Salary & Benefits ₹10,000 – ₹15,000 per month (depending on experience).
