Your responsibilities will revolve around constructing and enhancing AI-driven video compression pipelines, with the goal of enhancing video quality while simultaneously reducing bitrate for future-generation streaming and media solutions. Your key responsibilities will include working on macroblock-level video encoding (1616) to enable AI-driven block mode selection processing and motion estimation. You will also be tasked with integrating AI/ML techniques into traditional video compression workflows and refining encoding pipelines for low latency and real-time applications. To excel in this role, you should possess a solid understanding of video coding standards such as H.264, H.265/HEVC, AV1, and VVC. Hands-on experience with block-based video processing and mode decisioning will be crucial to your success. Proficiency in C/C++ (with GPU/SIMD optimization being an added advantage) is essential, along with familiarity in AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
