Video Editor

We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor who’s passionate about storytelling and visual content. You’ll be responsible for editing short-form and long-form video content (mainly for YouTube, Instagram Reels, and LinkedIn), adding engaging effects, transitions, captions, and creating a polished visual identity for the Microstax brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short videos (30s–1min) for YouTube Shorts, Reels, and other social platforms
• Assist in editing long-form YouTube videos and client testimonials
• Add motion graphics, captions, transitions, and sound effects
• Maintain brand consistency in all video outputs
• Work closely with the founder and marketing team to meet content goals
• Organize raw footage, select best takes, and prep final deliverables

Qualifications

• Basic to intermediate experience with tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut/Descript
• Strong sense of pacing, visual storytelling, and attention to detail
• Comfortable working with Google Drive, Slack, and Notion
• Ability to meet deadlines and take creative feedback
• A strong portfolio or personal work is required (even personal projects or reels are fine)
• Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for learning
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines remotely
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Requirements:

• 1+ year of editing experience
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar tools
• Strong sense of visual storytelling, timing, and aesthetics
• Familiarity with internet trends and modern editing styles
• Good communication skills and the ability to accept feedback
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced environment

Bonus Points

• Knowledge of YouTube content strategies and video SEO
• Experience with AI-based editing tools (Runway, Pictory, etc.)
• Understanding of meme culture, internet trends, and modern editing styles
• Interest in startups, tech, or creative storytelling
