Vice President-Payments

As a Vice President with over 18 years of experience in the field, you will be responsible for driving engineering excellence across Java-based platforms, Microservices, APIs, and integrations. Your role will involve ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of the platforms being delivered. In addition to technical and program leadership, you will oversee multi-stream programs to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and stakeholder alignment. Implementing strong program governance, risk mitigation frameworks, and conducting cadence reviews will be a crucial part of your responsibilities. Managing large cross-functional technology teams comprising developers, architects, QA, and DevOps personnel will also fall under your purview. You will be expected to drive performance, innovation, and cultivate a culture of engineering excellence within the teams. Stakeholder engagement will be a key aspect of your role, involving interactions with C-level and senior stakeholders to review architecture, set technical directions, and plan delivery roadmaps. You will act as the escalation point for critical technology delivery issues. As an advocate for continuous improvement and best practices, you will champion DevOps, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and modern engineering principles. Leading initiatives related to code quality, CI/CD, observability, and automation will be essential in enhancing operational efficiency. Key requirements for this role include a B.Tech in Computer Science or a related field, extensive experience in product engineering, platform delivery, or fintech transformation, and proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, Kafka, and cloud platforms. Strong technical acumen, familiarity with Agile, DevOps, SAFe methodologies, and experience in handling high-volume, low-latency systems are prerequisites. Possession of PMP/Prince2 certification is preferred, and a willingness to travel as needed is expected. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering mindset, exhibit strategic thinking, have excellent communication skills to engage with CXO-level stakeholders, and demonstrate a proactive and result-driven approach in high-stakes environments.,
